The Devils have hired a full-time video/goaltending coach as part of the new coaching staff ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Euan King started working with the Devils midway through last season as the team’s goalie coach on a part-time basis.  He worked with Taran Kozun and Ben Bowns throughout the season with individual on-ice drills as well as weekly video analysis.

He has worked with Pete Russell and the GB National Team for the last four years as their goaltending coach.  He is also Head of Goaltending Development for Ice Hockey UK.

Prior to joining the Devils last season, King was with Hungarian side Ferencvarosi TC of the Erste Liga where he was a goaltending coach and doubled up as the team’s video coach.

“Euan is a great person and we work extremely well together,” said new Head Coach Pete Russell.

“He reads the game so well and he is very skilled at video analysis, not just for goalies, but for the whole team.  He has been a huge asset to the National team and I am very pleased to have him as part of the coaching staff here in Cardiff.”
