Biography
Defenceman River Rymsha is another new face for the Cardiff Devils in 2023-24.
The smooth skating defender comes to Cardiff from the Heilbronner Falken of the German DEL2 where he scored 4 goals and 16 assists in 34 games last season.
Before playing in Germany, Rymsha played a season in the Czech Republic and two seasons in Slovakia. He spent the 2020-21 season in HC Detva where he played with Trevor Cox, scoring 7 goals and 21 assists in 48 games.
The following season, he teamed up with Jamie Arniel (who recently signed with the Devils) in Poprad, Slovakia where he scored 6 goals and 19 assists in 47 games.
The 27 year old American played his university hockey with Dartmouth for 4 years before turning pro in 2019-20 with the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL.
