Head Coach Brodie Dupont and Assistant Coach Christian Horn will not return for the 2023-24 season after the club and the coaches have mutually agreed to part ways.

“Brodie and Christian are two of the best people I have met in hockey," said Managing DirectorTodd Kelman.

"We all wish them well for next season. I am certain they will both get more opportunities to be behind the bench with another organisation in the near future.”

Dupont took over the coaching duties in the final weeks of the 2021-22 season. He ended up guiding the Devils to the 2022 Playoff Championship and was hired as Head Coach ahead of the 2022-23 season.

In his first full season in charge, the Devils finished with a 35-19 league record, finishing fourth place in the EIHL.  He also led the team to a Bronze Medal in the IIHF Continental Cup in early 2023. The Devils made it to the Playoff Championship this past weekend, eventually losing to the Belfast Giants in the final game.

Horn joined Dupont behind the bench early into the 2022-23 season.  He was a former teammate of Dupont’s in the ECHL, and this was his first year of coaching in professional hockey.

Both Dupont and Horn are looking forward to pursuing coaching opportunities in North America.  Neil Francis will remain with the organisation.  The Devils expect to have an announcement regarding a new coaching staff in the next few weeks.
