He became a fan favourite with the Devils supporters who loved his speed and style of play along with his willingness to get his nose dirty. He was a favourite amongst his teammates and coaching staff, even picking up the Coach’s Player of the Year after the 2017/18 season.

Devils Managing Director Todd Kelman spoke about Reddick’s departure:

“We love Bryce and we loved what he brought to this team every day. He is a very consistent player and he loves to compete, which is a big reason why we recruited him.

“He is a coach’s dream, just came to work with a great attitude every day. Even when we gave guys a day off, he was there out on the ice. As long as there was ice available, he wanted to be on there. I don’t think I have come across many guys that love the game as much as he does.

“We are definitely going to miss him on and off the ice, but this is the right move for him at this time in his career and we wish him well.”
