Cody Donaghey is one of two new faces to join the defensive unit for 2023-24. 

Last season, the 27 year-old Canadian started with HK Nitra of the top Slovakian League before moving to Fehervar of the IceHL where he played alongside former Devil Gleason Fournier. 

He spent the 2021-22 season with Czech Extraliga side Rytiri Kladno and spent the 2020-21 year in Denmark splitting his time between Odense and Aalborg. 

Donaghey has a a bomb of a shot and that will help on a powerplay unit that struggled the second half of last season.  He skates well and likes to join the rush, but doesn’t sacrifice his defensive duties.
