Evan Mosey is back for a fourth season with the Devils.

Last season, the 35-year-old American played 47 league games, scoring 10 goals and 21 assists for 31 points.  He finished the season off with Team GB at the World Championships and was picked as one of the Top 3 players of the Tournament for his team after scoring 2 goals and 3 assists in 7 games.

Mosey originally played for the Devils for two seasons between 2018 and 2020. He was part of the 2019 Playoff Championship team but missed most of the following season in 2019-20 with injury, although he returned to play 8 games (scoring 3 goals and 4 assists) before the season was cut short due to Covid-19.

He moved to Sheffield to ice for the Steelers in 2021-22 and 2022-23 but was targeted by Devils’ Coach Pete Russell to make a return to Cardiff ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Pete Russell spoke about re-signing Mosey for the 2024-25 season:

“His biggest asset is his versatility; he can play forward and defence and is comfortable playing both positions.

“Often, he is called upon to switch from D to forward in the middle of a game, which he does without missing a beat, that is tough to do.

“He is one of the best skaters in the league and his speed allows him to join the offence but still be able to get back and play defence.

“We are pleased to be able to have him back for another year.”
