The Devils headed to Coventry to take on the Blaze on Sunday night.  They were missing Ben Bowns, Josh Batch, Ryan Barrow and Josh Waller.  Callum Booth got the start for the second game in a row in net and for the Blaze it was former Devil Taran Kozun.

The Blaze opened the scoring on the powerplay after Ben Davies bumped into Kozun and was called for interference.  It was a shot from Ian McNulty that beat Booth at 9:11 to make it 1-0 for the home side.  Trevor Cox evened the score at 15:20 when he tapped in his own rebound after Kozun made the initial save.  The first period ended all tied up at 1-1.

The Devils took an early lead in the second period when Cody Donaghey found Cole Ully for a one-timer that beast Kozun at 21:24 to make it 2-1.  The Blaze turned the game on its head with two quick goals, first a breakaway goal by Tyler Kirkup at 34:14, then less than two minutes later, it was McNulty with a tip past Booth with his second goal of the game to make it 3-2 for the Blaze.

The Devils threw everything at Kozun in the final period, outshooting the Blaze 23-6 but they could not find the equaliser.  In the dying minutes, Pete Russell pulled Booth in favour of the extra skater, but it was the Blaze defenceman Brady Norrish who scored into the empty net to seal the 4-2 win.
