We are pleased to welcome Prostate Cymru to the Devils family as official charity partner for the 2022-23 season.

To celebrate the partnership, we will be lighting up Ice Arena Wales for our game v Fife Flyers on 28 January. And Taz will be in good company as the match night sponsors will also be bringing their mascot Wesley the Walnut to the game.

As a charity with a predominantly male audience, this is a particularly poignant partnership for the charity, and one of their key aims being to raise awareness and educate men in Wales on the dangers of prostate cancer.

Speaking of the charity partnership, Todd Kelman said “With twenty guys on the team alone – not to mention the males who form part of our coaching staff and off-ice team – we couldn’t be better fitted to raise awareness of prostate health.

“Brodie Reid and Josh Brittain will be the proud player ambassadors for Prostate Cymru this season, and I know they join me in looking forward to raising awareness of the work that this brilliant charity is doing in this area of men’s health.”

Tina Tew, Chief Executive of Prostate Cymru said “We are beyond grateful to The Cardiff Devils for the support that we have received to date and look forward to formalising a partnership with them for years to come.

“With their reach and audience, I am confident that we have a platform to spread our message and save lives. Their fundraising will contribute to us one-day beating cancer and all men in Wales having equal access to the support and treatment that they deserve.”

The Prostate Cymru logo has been added to the Devils jerseys for the season, located on the back (bottom left).
