For the second night in a row, the Devils scored 6 goals to get the win over the Milton Keynes Lightning.
Fan favourite Justin Faryna has informed the Cardiff Devils that he is leaving the club for personal reasons.
Faryna spoke to Andrew Lord for the first time about leaving on Saturday morning before the team flew to Scotland to take on the Fife Flyers. He informed his teammates about his decision to leave the club after the Devils home game on Sunday night against the Dundee Stars.
“This came as a big shock to us,” explained Managing Director Todd Kelman.
“Faryna has been a big part of our team since he arrived ahead of the 2017-18 season. He played a massive role in our success last season and was hugely popular with our fanbase.
“I know they will be saddened to see him go, as we all are, but there is life outside of hockey and this is a decision bigger than this game.
“On behalf of the entire organisation, I would like to thank Justin for his contribution to the Devils and wish him well for wherever life takes him.”
Faryna will not be in the line-up for Wednesday’s game against the Guildford Flames.
