For the second night in a row, the Devils scored 6 goals to get the win over the Milton Keynes Lightning.
Matt Pope scored a natural hat-trick on Saturday Night as the hometown Devils skated to a 4-1 win over the visiting Manchester Storm.
Ben Bowns made 28 saves for the Devils and the penalty killing was perfect, stopping all 6 man advantages for the Storm.
Manchester opened the scoring at 4:29 when Chris Auger finished off a pass from Shane Baker to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
The only goal of the opening period for the Devils came at 12:24 when Matt Pope stepped around the Storm defender and fired the puck high over Matt Ginn with Joey Martin drawing the lone assist to tie the game at 1-1.
Pope gave the Devils the lead 3 minutes into the middle period finishing off a pass from Sean Bentivoglio putting the home side up 2-1 at 23:19.
Midway through the period, the Storm had a golden opportunity to get back into the game when Sean Bentivoglio was given 2 minutes for hooking and 2 minutes for high-sticking on the same play. The result was a 4 minute powerplay for the Storm, but the Devils penalty-killing came up big when they needed to most.
At 36:34, Matt Pope took a pass from Stephen Dixon and fired the puck backhand past Ginn for his hat-trick goal, putting the Devils up 3-1, a lead the Devils held to the end of the second period.
Into the 3rdperiod and Ben Bowns continued to be outstanding in goal for the Devils, stopping all 15 shots he faced in the final 20 minutes of play.
The lone goal of the period came from Ben Blood who rushed the puck up the ice and then got his own rebound and poked it past Ginn to put the Devils up 4-1 at 41:41 with Bryce Reddick drawing the lone assist.
