Brodie Dupont is the final forward signing ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The 34 year old forward spent the last two seasons in Denmark with the Herning Blue Foxes. In the 2020-21 season, he scored 21 goals and 24 assists for 45 points in 45 games.

Dupont was drafted by the New York Rangers in the third round (66th overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft. He spent his first 4 years of professional hockey in the Rangers system with the Hartford Wolfpack, eventually getting called up to the Rangers for his lone NHL game in the 2010-11 season. In total he played 386 games in the AHL, the top affiliate league of the NHL scoring 68 goals and 176 points along the way.

He made the move to Europe in 2012 to play for Italian side Valpelice where he tallied 20 goals and 42 assists over 55 games in all competitions. He found a home in Iserlohn for 2 and a half seasons in the DEL, Germany’s top league, before moving back to North America for 2 seasons with the Norfolk Admirals. In his second season with Norfolk he was named captain and he led the team in scoring with 21 goals and 47 assists in 68 games.

He moved back to Europe for the 2018-19 season with Dornbirner EC in the Austrian based EBEL League where he played alongside another new face for the Devils, Brodie Reid. Dupont scored 11 goals and 24 assists that season in 51 games before making the move to Herning the following season.

Dupont completes the forward unit for the Devils and is the 19th player on the roster. The EIHL has limited roster size to 19 this season with a maximum of 14 import players allowed on the playing roster.

The Devils roster is made up of 13 imports and 6 Brits, the same number of full-time Brits they carried in 2019-20.
