The Devils are back home on Friday against the Nottingham Panthers in the final home game of our pre-season schedule.
IT'S A HELL OUT – There may be a small number of tickets returned by sponsors who cannot make the game, so if you don't have tickets, keep an eye on our social media where we will update our ticket availability leading up to the game.7:00PM FACE OFF - The puck drops at 7:00pm and doors open 90 minutes before face-off all season long, so that means 5:30pm on Friday evening.
SANNY IS BACK - Forward Cole Sanford missed the first three weeks of pre-season still recovering from off-season surgery. He is back and ready to go on Friday night. Sanford is expected to play on a line with Nolan Yaremko and Kristoff Kontos for both games this weekend.
NO BUBBA - Riley Brandt will not play this weekend as he recovers from an upper body injury suffered last Sunday against the Steelers. He is not expected to be out for long and should be available for selection next weekend.
MEN IN BLACK – Friday night we are wearing our new black kit and there are 2 chances to win game worn jerseys – Ben Davies' number 5 and Ryan Barrow's number 79. Get your raffle tickets from our game night sales stands or our roaming sellers.
BATTLE OF THE (FORMER) BLAZE - Head Coach Paul Thompson and Panthers' Head Coach Danny Stewart go back a long time. Stewart played for Thompson in Coventry for 4 highly successful seasons in which they won 3 league titles and 2 cups. Stewart also coached the Blaze for 8 seasons before taking over behind the Panthers' bench.
YOUNG GUNS - Defenceman Sam Smith (pictured below), born and bred in Cardiff will be in the lineup again for the Devils. He has been training with the Devils all pre-season and is on loan from Bristol Pitbulls. Local forward Bayley Harewood is also in the lineup again on Friday night.
PARKING UPDATE – The former Toys R Us carpark will be available as usual to pay to park. The massive car parking area right next to the Arena is also available. You enter this area by driving past Morrisons (on your left) to the roundabout at the end of the road closest to the water.
