Despite trailing 3-1, the Devils battled back with 6 straight goals to take the points against the Sheffield Steelers.
Charles Linglet opened the scoring at 9:19 to give the Devils the 1-0 lead but the Steelers responded immediately with a breakaway goal from Josh Pitt to tie the game at 10:39. Sheffield took the lead with 1:40 remaining in the opening period through a blast from Ben O’Connor to make it 2-1 after 20 minutes of play.

Four minutes into the middle period, the Steelers added to their lead when Evan McGrath scored on the powerplay at 24:06 to give the visitors a 3-1 advantage.
After that, it was all Devils. Linglet scored his 2nd goal of the game at 26:58 with a powerplay strike with Joey Martin and Gleason Fournier setting him up.

Then James Livingston looked like he scored with a rocket over the shoulder of Jackson Whistle in goal for the Steelers, but the play continued until the next stoppage when the referee called for a video review. The review showed a good goal and the game was all tied up at 3-3.

Mike Hedden got the lead back for the Devils at 35:13 with an absolute cannon that beat Whistle to put the home side up 4-3 then 43 seconds later Joey Martin made it 5-3 with a perfect finish after a slick pass from Hedden.

The Devils made it 6-3 just 2:18 into the final period when Mark Richardson whiffed on a shot towards the goal and Sean Bentivoglio tapped it on the way by to beat Whistle.
Then with 1:52 left to play, Toms Rutkis scored the Devils’ 7th of the night by jamming in a loose puck after Matt Pope took the puck to the net.

Ben Bowns made 30 saves for the win, while Mike Hedden picked up the Man of the Match with a goal and 2 assists. Charles Linglet had 2 goals and an assist, Joey Martin had a goal and 2 assists while Gleason Fournier had 3 assists.
