Joey Haddad and Sam Duggan both scored twice in the win, with singles coming from Josh Batch, Mike McNamee and Matthew Myers, while Ben Bowns made 45 saves in the win.

Haddad opened the scoring at 8:31 of the first period then a bad bounce for the Steelers led to a tap-in goal for Duggan to make it 2-0 at 16:05.

Matthew Myers came out of the penalty box and scored at 19:14 to make it 3-0 for the Devils after 20 minutes of action.

The Devils momentum continued into the middle frame as Mike McNamee tipped in a shot from Blair Riley to make it 4-0 just over a minute into the period. The Steelers got one back from Marek Troncinsky at 28:44 but Haddad got his second of the game on the powerplay at 32:29 to restore the 4 goal lead.

At 37:41 Josh Batch put the Devils up 6-1 with a tap-in off the back boards, which is how the second period ended.

Duggan scored his second of the night with the nicest goal of the game, a far side top-shelf wrist shot that beat Tomas Duba at 46:40 to give the Devils a 7-1 lead at just over 13 minutes to play.

The Steelers pulled two goals back, both on the powerplay late in the game, but it was too little too late as the Devils came out with the impressive road win against the first place Steelers. Sam Duggan picked up the Man of the Match with his first two goals of the season.
