A tough night for the Devils saw them lose 3-1 to the Manchester Storm.
The home side opened the scoring with an early goal from Evan Richardson just 5:04 into the game. The Devils could not find a way past Matt Ginn despite throwing 12 shots at the Storm’s netminder.

The Storm doubled their lead with a short-handed goal at 17:10 from Dane Byers to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.
After a scoreless second period, the Devils finally got on the board 1:44 into the third period when Joey Martin made it 2-1 to breath some life into the Devils for the final 18 minutes of the game.

But the tying goal never came and with 21 seconds left and Ben Bowns pulled for the extra attacker, Dallas Ehrhardt sealed the win for the Storm with an empty net goal to make it 3-1.
The Devils powerplay was 0 for 5 on the night and gave up the winning goal. Bowns made 22 saves in the loss and Matt Pope picked up the Man of the Match for the Devils.
