Stephen Dixon opened the scoring for the Devils when he finished off a pass from Brodie Reid just 48 seconds into the game.
With just over 4 minutes to play in the first period, Matt Register dangled his way in from the blueline and beat Matt Ginn with a backhand over his shoulder to make it 2-0 . The Devils killed 3 penalties in the opening period but held their two-goal lead after 20 minutes of play.
The Storm were right back into the game midway through the middle period thanks to a goal from Tyson Fawcett, but then the Devils took over.
First Brandon McNally broke through the Storm defence to score and put the Devils up 3-1. Then Cole Sanford finished off a slick passing play from his linemates Trevor Cox and Josh Waller to make it 4-1.
The final period opened with a second goal from Dixon then Waller scored off a nice pass from Cox to give the Devils a 6-1 lead. Two goals in 44 seconds, both from Brodie Reid, rounded off the scoring with an impressive 8-1 win for the Devils.
A 5-point night for Brodie Reid (2 goals, 3 assists) saw him picked as Man of the Match for the Devils.
