Two goals from Joey Martin led the charge for the Devils as they skated to a 4-2 win over the Glasgow Clan on Saturday Night.
The Devils opened the scoring early, with Evan Mosey getting on the scoreboard just 5:50 into the opening period.
Gleason Fournier set up Joey Martin for his first of the game at 16:59 on the powerplay to double the Devils lead going into the first intermission.
Matt Haywood pulled the Clan back into the game at 23:56 with his first of the game to make it 2-1 for the only goal of the middle period.
The middle period also saw Devils defenceman Mark Louis knock down Clan Captain Zack Fitzgerald when two of the toughest players in the League dropped the gloves at 36:34.
Haywood scored his 2ndof the game just 2:35 into the third period to even the scoreline at 2-2, which woke up the near sell-out crowd at Braehead Arena.
With 9 minutes remaining in the game, it was the Devils powerplay that once again got the league leaders the lead with Sean Bentivoglio scoring the go-ahead goal with Martin and Fournier both getting assists on the play.
With 1:04 to play, Martin scored his 2ndgoal of the game, an empty netter to seal the win for the Devils.
