Coronavirus safety measures at Ice Arena Wales

We are pleased to welcome you to Ice Arena Wales and want to make you feel confident and safe so you can relax and enjoy the thrill of live ice hockey once again.

TICKETS: we encourage you to book in advance online to avoid queuing on match night at the box office.

DOORS OPEN: Doors open 1 hour before face-off.  We ask that you do not bring bags unless absolutely necesssary. If you do bring a bag, it will be searched.

PARKING: Parking is available in the main carpark and the former Toys R Us carpark (now the vaccine centre). Wilcox House carpark is also available. Toys R Us & WIlcox House cost £3 to park, so please bring cash.

FACE COVERINGS: Face coverings are still a requirement in Wales for indoor events. We ask that everyone aged 11+ continues to wear a face covering, unless you are exempt (proof of exemption is required). They should be worn when in your seats and while walking around the building.

SOCIAL DISTANCING: We'll still be asking everyone to remain considerate of each other at all times and to use common sense to space out queues for concession stands and toilets.

ENHANCED CLEANING: To keep you safe, we'll be cleaning before every game and regularly disinfecting the inside of the building including all of our toilets.

CARD PAYMENTS: All of our concession stands can take contactless payment but we do still accept cash.

HAND SANITISER: You'll find hand sanitising stations dotted throughout the venue. We also suggest you carry a small hand sanitiser with you if possible in case the stations are not in a convenient location for you.

PROGRAMMES & RAFFLES: We will not have programmes on sale for the first 4 games (2 CHL and 2 pre-season) but we will be selling 50/50 tickets and Shirt of His Back tickets as normal.  We have contactless payment for both of these available at the game night sales stand in front of Block 4. The roaming sellers all accept cash only.

CAFÉ & CONCESSIONS: The Grazing Shed will not be back this season, so for these first 4 games, we will be selling our normal game night food offerings from the stalls in the main arena.  We plan to have a revamped offer available for the 25th of September. The main bar will be open as normal from doors opening (1 hour before face-off).

VENDING MACHINES: Vending machines now accept card payment as well as coins.

OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINK:  No outside food or drink is allowed to be brought into the venue.

SMOKING RE-ENTRY: Smoking breaks permitted during period breaks only via the fire exit door by the ground floor toilets. Once you enter the arena before face-off, you will not be permitted to go outside to smoke until the period break because this door is used as an entrance point up until face-off.

STAFF: All of our staff and volunteers will be wearing face coverings.  Please respect them for working under these conditions and for enforcing the rules outlined above.

Please do not visit us if you...
