The Devils have hit 666 season ticket sales and are celebrating with style - by giving a completely free season ticket for 2010/11 to Devils fan Jill Keen.
Jill, a huge Devils fan along with husband Chris, had signed up earlier this year and when we called her with the good news she simply said, "That's brilliant, you've made my day."
This summer The Cardiff Devils have been on a huge sales drive for season tickets, with great results. Record numbers of Devils fans have signed up for the coming season, with more and more corporate season tickets sold by the week. Several prize draws have already taken place, and two lucky fans have received game-worn Devils jerseys in the first two rounds. The latest draw however was a big occasion for the Devils as the 666 barrier - a number synonymous with the Devil - was reached.
The Devils overall ticket target is 750 and that is in their sights, with many members of the local business community signed up and still enquiring about season tickets. Upon hitting 750, the Devils will have not only the highest number of season tickets sold in well over a decade, they would have nearly one third of their arena capacity sold for every game.
Season ticket seats are being "held" until 31st July, after which time they will be available on general sale. There are still a few people yet to renew, but with 174 brand new season ticket holders, they will have lots of new Devils fans to talk to when they return.
