Cardiff ended a six game losing run with a hard fought win on Humberside with the game not being decided until 10 seconds remaining when the visitors found the empty net.

Despite both teams having chances in the opening session it was the Devils that went in at the first break with the only goal of the period scored by Ben Davies at 12.04.

Stingrays were back on level terms with a goal from Dominic Osman at 26.01, they then went in front with a powerplay goal from Jereme Tendler at 36.00. However, they only held this lead for 12 seconds as the visitors drew level with a strike from Davis for his second of the game. The period ended with the teams tied at two apiece.

Devils regained the lead as Stuart MacRae scored at 43.20 it remained this way until Hull pulled goaltender Bowns and Chris Blight found the empty net at 59.50.
