The Cardiff Devils got their season off to a great start with a 2-1 victory over their rivals from Coventry.

In a pre-season game that was anything other than friendly, the Devils had to come from behind after falling behind to a second period powerplay goal.

Max Birbraer quickly equalised on a breakaway before new signing Tyson Marsh scored a powerplay goal of his own in the third period to win the game.
