Nottingham Panthers 6 - 3 Cardiff Devils

This was a disappointing result for Cardiff in their quest to finish fourth in the league, they are now only two points in front of Braehead. As for Nottingham, they are back to winning ways with this being, their third win after losing the three before that.

The home side got off to the perfect start as Jordan Fox put them in front at 1.50. They doubled their lead with a strike from David Clarke at 6.02. The visitors pulled one back as Phil Hill netted the only other goal of the period at 9.53.

Panthers restored their two-goal advantage as David Clarke scored his second of the game at 22.24. They then went further in front, as Matt Francis found the net at 30.14. This was quickly followed by a strike from Brandon Benedict at 31.34 to give the home side a 5-1 lead. Devils pulled one back before the end of the period as Scott Dobben scored at 38.17.

With his second goal of the game Dobben got another back 79 seconds into the third period. The hosts added a sixth goal from David Beauregard at 43.15 and with no further scoring it was the Panthers who took the points.
