Stevie, Kate and the Testimonial Committee would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to all of the Devils fans who came to the game last night. We were delighted with the numbers and were over whelmed by the show of support for Stevie.

We would like to post a few quick thank yous to the following people as well:

A huge thank you to the Devils organisation and to all of the people involved with them who made the game possible. Thanks in particular go to Paul Ragan and to G for allowing the game to happen, to both the Devils and the Testimonial team and also to Paul Sullivan and all at Nutshell Events and to Richard Murray of DoverCo Printers whose support and help has been outstanding and without whom much of what we've achieved this season would not have been possible.

A big thank you to all the volunteers, especially to CDSL, Mike and Viv and all the other tickets sellers who did a fantastic job for us on the night. From the photographers and the cameraman, to the first aiders, the doctors, the physios, the equipment staff, the stewards, RAS Security and to everyone else who volunteered their time - thank you we could not have done it without you

A huge thank you must go to Chris and Michelle and all the guys at the rink who have been fantastic all season

To all the sponsors (there are too many to name as so many companies have been so good to us) you know who you are and we thank you whole heartedly for all your generosity this year

If there is anyone we've forgotten to thank, we are very sorry but there are just too many of you to mention. We just want you know that we really appreciate everything that everyone has done. Whether you've sponsored an event, attended an event, bought a Testimonial T Shirt or bought a Testimonial Raffle Ticket  we just want to say thank you - your support has meant an awful lot to Stevie and his family

Stevie Lyle Update

If you bought a jockey for the Race Night, can you come and check the winning jockey’s list at the Testimonial stand, as if you were the winning jockey your prize awaits you!

Testimonial Dinner

The Testimonial Celebratory Dinner is sponsored by Tiny Rebel Brewery and is being held at the Marriott Hotel, Cardiff on Monday 20th February 2012. 

Tickets are £30 each and the price includes:

- full evening meal
- a live band
- auctions for some of Stevie’s career game worn shirts
- a chance to be the first to see the CH Sports produced Testimonial shirts for both sides
- interviews with the players and lots of vintage Devils footage over which to reminisce 
- late night disco
- a chance to mingle with both the Devils players and the players that Stevie has invited over to play for his side

We need payment in full for this ASAP and when you do come to the stand to pay, can you also let us know who you’d like to sit by and if there are any special dietary requirements

We are delighted to announce that if you would like a player to sit on the table with you for the duration of the meal, you can reserve one for just £20 – please come and see the girls at the Testimonial stand and they will organise that for you

We’d also like to confirm that the dress code is smart attire but not black tie (unless you want to of course!)

The menu is shaping up as follows:

Starter:
Leek & Potato Soup with Basil Croutons (and Crusty Bread Rolls)

Main:
Chicken Breast wrapped in Bacon, Caerphilly cheese sauce, Chef choice
vegetables and Chef choice potatoes.

Coffee & Mints

There will be a dessert but we are just sorting out the finer details on that as we are aiming for something a little bit special.

The vegetarian option has been confirmed as Roasted Red Pepper & Goats Cheese Lasagne

Testimonial Game

The Testimonial Game is sponsored by Dennis Fowles Ltd and takes place on Tuesday 21st February 2012. Tickets are £10 adults, £5 concessions and £25 for a family ticket (2 adults / 2 kids). Tickets are on sale now from the rink box office and they remain on sale right up until the game itself. Season Ticket seats will be held until the 15^th February. This will be the last opportunity season tickets holders will have to reserve their seat for the Testimonial game before they go on general sale. We are playing Fife Flyers at home that night.

Please note that as well as this not being a season ticket game, it’s also not part of any Devils sponsorship package and is a standalone game in the schedule. However, if Devils sponsors wish to purchase their particular seats for the game please do so before they go on general release on the 16^th February 

If anyone would be interested in placing an advert in the Testimonial programme please can you come to the stand on game nights and see Nic and Kate. Alternatively you can send a message via the Facebook page or email stevielyle.testimonial@yahoo.co.uk. Full page ads are £100; half page ads are £50 and a quarter page is £25

We are also delighted to offer to you the chance to be part of Stevie’s testimonial programme. For just £5.00 you can leave a short good luck message for Stevie to read on the night of his Testimonial and all messages will be printed in the programme. Puck Sponsorship

Why not take the opportunity to have a photo taken with one of them as part of our superb puck sponsorship deal. For £15 you get your photo taken with the player of your choice, you get a signed copy of that photo and a signed puck to keep. We will even do you a deal of 2 sponsorships for £25. You can have your picture taken with any of the Devils or Stevie’s Testimonial Team 

Shirt Auction

If you are unable to attend the auction of the shirts worn at Stevie's Testimonial game (the auction will take place in the bar straight after the game) we are happy to accept bids from you. Please email stevielyle.testimonial@yahoo.co.uk with the name of the player whose shirt you would like and the maximum amount you would like to bid for it. Each shirt will have a starting bid of £50

The cut-off time for receipt of these emails is 12 midday on the day of the game which is Tuesday 21st February. We will then take these emails to the auction with us and bid in fixed increments on your behalf up to the sum required to win the jersey or to the stated maximum if other bids are still being placed on that jersey (i.e. we will not start bidding at your stated maximum).

There will be two different styles of shirt, one worn by Stevie's Testimonial team and the other worn by the current Cardiff Devils team. Proxy bids can be placed on more than one shirt if you wish, but please give clear instructions in your e-mail e.g. if you want to bid on multiple jerseys of the same style please place them in your preferred order of priority, give a maximum bid for each and let us know if you wish us to stop bidding if you are successful in winning one or wish us to continue bidding on others for you.

If you would like to try to win one or more shirts of each style (Testimonial team and Devils team) again please make this clear in your e-mail. Your e-mail should also provide your full name and a telephone number so that we can contact you following the auction to take payment if you are a winning bidder (credit or debit card details can be taken over the telephone) and so that we can arrange delivery or collection of any shirts you win

Golf Day

There is another golf day planned and this one is sponsored by J&K Tool Hire and is being held on the 5th March 2012 at St Mellon’s Golf Course. The price is £250 per team (a team consists of 3 people and a Devil on your team). The price includes a round of golf, a golf shirt and an evening meal.
