DCF FUTURE DEVILS RAISE THE BAR!!

The Cardiff Devils U18’s have been hard at work this summer at Cardiff Metropolitan University preparing for their upcoming season and have got the jump on their opposition. Under the leadership of the internationally regarded Cardiff Metropolitan University Strength & Conditioning programme led by Dai Watts the young future Devils’ have turned up the heat.
Cardiff Devils U18’s Head Coach Jamie Elson believes that “it has been an awakening for many of his players this summer, in a good way. We know that our players want to become professional players one day and we are doing the best we can to provide them with the tools to achieve their potential.”
Cardiff Devils’ Brent Pope has been impressed by the journey these players have taken, “at the end of the day, it is time to get serious, if these players really want to make the jump to professional hockey one day, they have a small window in which to maximise that potential opportunity. They have worked hard, but that is just the start of where things could go if they continue to follow Dai’s leadership.”
A number of the Cardiff Devils U18’s squad have cracked the lineup for the Cardiff Devils v NIHL Devils match tomorrow evening in the bay @ 6pm. Pope stated, “when our DCF players deserve an opportunity to be put in the Elite League Devils’ shop window, they will get it. Until then, they need to lace up their work boots, keep their eyes and ears open and get to work! I am excited for the guys that we have given this opportunity tomorrow, they have been told, you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Here we go folks!”
Cardiff Devils U18’s in the match tomorrow are Zak Shanahan, Jack Randall, Ellis Price, Callum Buglass, Joe Morris, Keiran Latchford and current NIHL 2 prospect Steffan Joseph. The Devils Community Foundation would like to wish every player the best of luck in the match, enjoy yourselves and do the DCF proud!
