Adams hails Lyle
Devils Head Coach Gerad Adams has made the first significant change to his roster, signing former Devils player Phil Osaer in goal, replacing Stevie Lyle.
Lyle has finished the final year of his three-year deal with the Devils and was honoured by the club with a testimonial season in 2011-12 to end his fourth spell in Cardiff. Lyle is one of only a handful of players to have iced for the Devils in the Heineken, Superleague (finishing as MVP in 1007), BNL and Elite League eras.
Gerad Adams had this to say about the change:
'Phil's return of course means that Stevie won't be here next year and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for 3 tremendous years as my netminder.

I'm really pleased that he leaves on such a high with his fantastic performances on the weekend and I wish him the very best for the future. This big decision is no slight on Stevie's ability but reinforces just how highly I rate Phil.'
Lyle will be a sought-after player in a market where quality British netminders are at a premium and has been linked with several clubs in the UK and abroad.
