Here it is, the amazing video that was played before Sunday's game. Another impressive piece of work from Paul Sullivan of Nutshell Events:
A 3-goal middle period for the Steelers was enough for the homeside to beat the visiting Devils on Sunday Night.
The lone goal of the first period came on a 2 on 1 break for the Steelers with Colton Fretter firing the puck past Thomas Murdy in net for the Devils at 7:56 to go up 1-0.
Miika Franssila doubled the lead for the Steelers with a shot through traffic from the blueline at 25:39. The Devils pulled a goal back with a nice wrist shot from the blueline by Tyson Strachan to make it 2-1 at 26:59. At 27:13 Strachan was called for an illegal check to the head and was ejected from the game.
The Steelers scored twice on the resulting powerplay, first Colton Fretter made it 3-1 at 28:24, then Liam Kirk scored at 28:51 to put his team up 4-1 midway through the game. Joey Martin pulled a goal back for the Devils at 33:51 to cut the lead to 4-2, which is how the scoreline stayed after two periods of play.
The Devils threw everything they had at Ervins Mustukovs in goal for Sheffield in the final period but he could not be beaten. With Murdy pulled for the extra attacker, Sheffield’s captain Jonathan Phillips scored an empty net goal at 59:44 to make it 5-2.
A disappointing result in a game that saw the Devils outshoot the Steelers 50 to 27, but the Devils also went 0 for 9 on the powerplay while the Steelers were 2 for 5 with the man advantage.
