The Devils are pleased to confirm the signing of forward Charles Linglet from Dinamo Minsk of the KHL.
The 36-year-old Linglet has spent the majority of the past 8 seasons in the KHL, most of those with Minsk after starting his KHL career with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod back in 2010/11.
Prior to moving to the KHL, Linglet spent 6 seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) eventually getting called up for 5 games with the Edmonton Oilers during the 2009/10 season.
Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Linglet also has a Belarussian passport and has played for their National Team in the last 3 World Championships.
Linglet will be attending the Masters Programme at Cardiff Met University this fall.
Andrew Lord spoke about Linglet:
“Getting Charles Linglet here is a huge signing for us and there were a few pieces that had to fall in to place to get the deal done. We wouldn’t have been able to get it done without our partnership with Cardiff Met, so again that has proven to be a huge recruitment tool for us.
“In Linglet we are getting a high-end forward and a guy that has been playing in the KHL for the past few years, which is one of the fastest and most skilled leagues in the world.
“We are expecting him to have a big impact in the EIHL this season. He is expected to be in on the weekend ahead of the start of training camp on Monday.”
