The Devils jumped into a tie for first place with the Nottingham Panthers after beating them on Saturday Night in front of nearly 6,000 people at Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham.
The Devils are pleased to confirm that Dan Forbes will be back for his 2nd season as strength and conditioning coach.
Forbes joined the Devils last year for their historic triple trophy winning season. He was responsible for the off-ice training of the players as well as recovery and rehab exercise for injured players.
“I’m delighted to be working with the Cardiff Devils for a second season," said Forbes, "as a strength and conditioning coach I think a lot of people think my role is just to get the guys to lift weights, where in reality it’s about doing whatever is needed to get the team lifting trophies."
"Last season, with the schedule being so packed we made recovery our big priority and I think it had a positive impact keeping the guys fresh throughout the year and helped us perform in those big games.
"This year we’re looking to build on that and we have overhauled our off-ice programme to try and give the team an edge on the opposition when they step onto the ice every week.”
