Four Return for NIHL Devils

The Cardiff NIHL Devils are pleased to announce the return of 4 players for the 2012-2013 season. Starting his 6^th season with the Devils is Ricky Deacon, Ricky has played 136 games at National League level scoring 160 points (60 goals with 100 assists) Ricky has also played in the EPL for England under 20’s back in 2002. Also returning are David Sadler, Jordon Powell and 18 year old Josh Haslam.

Head coach Mark Cuddihy commented:

'I'm delighted to bring all four back for next season. They are all products of our fantastic junior system and have served the club impeccably.

We are expecting good things from Jordon Powell this season and we will give him a bigger role on the team after impressing last campaign. Josh is young and raw, it will be his first full season as a senior player, even though he has been playing for us for the last two years and training with us for 3 years, I’m hoping that Josh will have a stable year and cement his place in the team. We are putting no pressure on him and will let him grow as a player.

Ricky and Sads are both senior players within our set up now and both are big players for us. Ricky is a great team guy and chips in with a lot of points and Sadler is possibly the best dressing room guy I’ve ever come across, he knows when the team needs a lift and in Sadler fashion knows how to life us all. Hes a chippy player and one that draws a lot of penalties. All four guys will be crucial for us next season”
