Andrew Hotham confirmed his departure from the Devils via Twitter earlier today.
The 4-time EIHL Defenceman of the Year wrote:
Hotham joined the Devils for the start of the 2014-15 season when the new ownership group took over the club. During his 4 years he has won 2 Challenge Cup titles, 3 Erhardt Conferences, back to back EIHL League Titles and the 2018 Playoff Championship.
On an individual basis, Hotham has won the Defenceman of the Year Award every year he has been with the Devils. He was also selected as the EIHL's Player of the Year in 2016-17 and was a 4-time First All-Star Team Selection.
Devils Managing Director Todd Kelman spoke on behalf of the organisation:
"You can't replace a talent like Andrew Hotham. His skill-set and his compete level are as high as I have ever seen in this league.
"He has been a superstar for this club since the day he arrived and he played a huge role in our success over the last 4 years.
"It has been a pleasure having Hoth as a Devil and we thank him for everything he did for the Devils on and off the ice. We wish him and Ashley the best for their future and look forward to seeing what the next chapter brings for them."
