Joining Cardiff for his first taste of British Ice Hockey is new signing Jeff Pierce.

A pacey winger with great skill and breath-taking speed, Jeff has the ability to change a game within a matter of seconds.

Pierce moves to Cardiff after three seasons in the CHL with the Odessa Jackalopes, for whom he was the club's top goalscorer in 2009-20.

Jeff Pierce was first recommended to us by Justin Sawyer who played with him in Odessa last year. Sawyer knew we were looking for a replacement for Jon Pelle and had seen enough of Jeff to know he could be the man to replace him. He described him as fast, good one-on-one and a knack for scoring goals – sounded good to me.

We then signed Chris Frank who played with Piercey for 3 years at Western Michigan University and he backed Sawyer’s recommendation saying that “the guy has always been able to put the puck in the back of the net” – just what we were looking for.
