Cardiff ENL Devils sign a new D man
The Cardiff ENL Devils are pleased to announce the signing of Tom Smith from the Cardiff Satan's ENL 2 team. He joins up with the Division one set up immediately. Smith is no stranger to division one hockey having played under Cuddihy for the Devils two years ago.
The Blueliner has been the captain for the Cardiff Satan's for the last 2 years and has assisted in bringing on the young D men in the system. He has played for Cardiff since his junior days and has also played for Bracknell in the National League.
Mark Cuddihy has this to say about his new player: "Having lost Phil Manny for what look's like the rest of the season and Neil Browning for a month it was important for me to bring another D man in.
I'm thankful to Tom for stepping up and helping me out until the end of the season as Division one hockey is a massive commitment comparedto ENL 2. We are very lucky to have guys like Tom that are more than capable of stepping up and doing a good job at ENL 1 level.
Smithy has played for me before and has captained the ENL2 set up for two years, Tom is a nuts and bolts, gritty defenseman and he's Captain material all day long and will be a real help for myself and Lyndon in the dressing room, he's a likable guy and will offer a lot in terms of team morale"
Welcome 'back' to the ENL Devils Tom!
