Former Telford Tiger returns to the Bay, will sign two-way deal with EIHL Devils

Cardiff Coach Mark Cuddihy is delighted to re-sign Tim Burrows. German born Burrows has been a shining light in Cardiff since his arrival from EPL team Telford Tigers. He finished last season with 21 goals and 26 assists for 47 points in the league. Tim has also been training with the Elite team and is a fantastic prospect. This season Tim will sign a two way contract with the Elite league Devils also.

Says Cuddihy, “Tim has developed so much since his arrival in Cardiff two seasons ago. His awareness and hockey sense is fantastic for a player of his age, he has a fast shot and hits really hard. He was a candidate for player of the year; great on the powerplay and seems to get those all important goals.
 
I’m expecting Tim to easily pass his points tally for last year and be a top player for us. He is also one of the best skaters we have. Gerad (Adams, Devils Head Coach) and Franny (Bench coach Neil Francis) have also identified Tim as a good prospect for Elite hockey so don’t be surprised if he makes an appearance next year” 
 
Burrows commented, “I'm glad to be back for another year, it will be my 3rd season and personally feel as though I am building year upon year. It wasn't a difficult decision coming back to Cardiff's ENL team, we have a great group of guys and there's a number of good players that keep you pushing you for a spot in the team. Last season we were beginning to turn over the bigger teams more regularly and with that in mind our aspirations should be to push for a top of the league finish.
 
I like the setup in Cardiff, I've had the chance to train with the Elite Devils last year when I was able, but I have one more year left at Uni and after that will be hoping to gain some experience playing with the Elite team.”
